Alice Springs was an opportunity to do some shopping, explore the town a bit and relax....a little bit.
We were now up to day 11 of our trip.
Left:The tree above our site in the caravan park was full of seed pods that fell often in the breeze.
Right: the Todd River.
Our friends had to go and get their tyres repaired and replaced so we went for a short walk around Todd Mall.
Below left: John Flynn Memorial Church and on the right is Adelaide House, the first hospital in Alice Springs.

After that we went to visit the School of the Air. School was "in" while we were there.

After lunch and a rest we packed a bbq tea and went off to Rainbow Valley to catch the sunset.

It's magical watching as the colours change and darken with the light of the setting sun.
